La Vista Furano Hills Review – My Favorite Hotel in Hokkaido

Furano winter city view
Furano in the winter

During my winter trip to Furano, I stayed at La Vista Furano Hills, and honestly, it was my favorite hotel of the entire trip. If you’re visiting Furano in winter and want a comfortable, well-located, and amenity-packed stay, this place is worth it.

Location – Super Convenient

La Vista Furano Hills is in a prime location, just a 4-minute walk from Furano Station. This was a huge plus since I didn’t rent a car and relied on trains to get around. It’s also right next to some great restaurants, which was clutch because many places in Furano require reservations.

Rooms – Small But Cozy

The rooms are on the smaller side (which is pretty standard for Japan), but they’re modern, super clean, and well-designed. The beds were comfortable, and I loved the heated floors, which made coming in from the snow feel amazing.

Amenities – The Best Part

What really made this hotel stand out were the amazing amenities:

  • Private and Public Onsens – The highlight of my stay! There’s a large public onsen and three private onsens that you can use for free—perfect if you want to soak in hot water while watching the snow fall.
  • Free Late-Night Ramen â€“ Yes, you read that right. Every night, the hotel serves free bowls of soy sauce-based ramen to guests. It was the perfect warm-up snack after being out in the cold.
  • Breakfast Buffet â€“ Not cheap, but totally worth it. They had an insane variety of Japanese and Western options, including fresh seafood. If you’re a foodie, you’ll love it.
  • Massage Chairs â€“ After a long day of walking in the cold, the free massage chairs in the onsen area were a lifesaver.

Price – A Bit Expensive, But Worth It

I paid $139 per night, which was cheaper than I expected for peak ski season in Furano. Hotels in this area book up fast, so I’d recommend reserving early.

Final Thoughts – 100% Recommend

If you’re visiting Furano in winter and want a comfortable, well-located hotel with amazing amenitiesLa Vista Furano Hills is totally worth it. Between the private onsens, free ramen, and cozy atmosphere, it was one of the best hotel experiences I had in Hokkaido. Would absolutely stay here again!
